In addition to the FOCUS program's offerings, participating freshmen can pursue a deeper experience within a specific community on a special interest track.

Each special interest community includes additional mentoring from a graduate or professional student, cohort registration, relevant educational experiences, and enrichment activities. Students selected to participate in these communities make a larger commitment to the learning community.

Goals shared across these tracks include igniting lifelong learning, looking forward to graduate or professional school, and developing the network and interdependence for current and future success. Each track expects full participation in the FOCUS Learning Community and track-specific activities.

Applications must be completed by the stated deadline. Selection is done by a faculty committee in the partnering college or department. Notification of results will be made prior to the beginning of New Student Conferences. Please direct questions about the tracks to the FOCUS staff.
