First Year Eats

As founder of The Hunger Consortium, the LAUNCH office leads by example through the new First Year Eats program. We partnered up with H-E-B and Integ, to bring a unique set of hands-on activities and resources to students in our Learning Communities.

First Year Eats has two primary goals:

  1. Equip Texas A&M students with smart budgeting tips and information about community-centered food preparation
  2. Lay the foundation for a community that collaboratively addresses student hunger and food insecurity

12th Can

The 12th Can is a student-run food pantry at Texas A&M that serves all students, faculty, and staff in need of assistance. The 12th Can is affiliated with Brazos Valley Food Bank as a program partner, and we reside under the Student Government Association. Their goal is to eliminate hunger at Texas A&M, bring awareness to food insecurity in college communities, and show others the power of the Aggie spirit.
