Howdy Week is a campus-wide affair that offers incoming students a chance to sample activities and resources before classes begin, to get to know roommates and classmates, and to become acclimated to the campus physically so that when classes begin the following week, students feel comfortable and can concentrate on starting their academic endeavors well. To learn more about the ways our students are welcomed to campus, please see the
Howdy Week schedule.
The majority of the all-LC events in Howdy Week will be first-come first-served.
Living Learning Programs
If you are living in one of the
Living-Learning Programs affiliated with LAUNCH (FIrst Year Eats LLP, Terry Scholars, or Honors Housing Community), please introduce yourself to your hall neighbors and watch for information about your LLP or hall-specific programs during Howdy Week and throughout the year. The learning community's LLP hall is likely to be the site for LC-related activities and opportunities.
Appearance Releases
Students and guests participating in LAUNCH: Learning Communities events or programs are asked to complete an Appearance Release Form so that information and images gathered can be used for LAUNCH publicity.
